Deadly Internet Sins

There are a few things that should never be mentioned on the Internet unless you're being ironic. Being serious when talking about any of these can cause angry mobs to form. I'm going to risk my virtual life to inform you of these horrific subjects. Here we go...

CROCS
The shoe brand 'Crocs®' generally don't appeal to the Internet kingdom. If you ever tweeted "I love my new Crocs" It's rather like saying you enjoy wearing socks and sandals. It's a lie. If however you genuinely do love the feel of rubber shoes with holes in them, keep it to yourself and express your feels on a Croc lovers forum. (I'll howl if one of these actually exists).

SAYING 'YOLO' & 'SWAG'
I don't see why anyone would chose to use these words as part of a serious sentence but a select few do. Using these words ironically is acceptable, using them not ironically is not acceptable. The words are both associated with the 'chav' community which is a crowd most of us Internet folk will never mix with (In fact us Internet folk will never mix with anyone...). Some people, such as me, physically vomit and gag when people type these words. This is called 'crapaphobia' which if you haven't already guessed, is a phobia of camels. That was my attempt at an unfunny joke...

#HASH #TAGGING
Hash tagging was obviously made for Twitter but some imbeciles decided to start using them on Facebook. Hash tagging on Facebook is a massive sin. It's just so wrong it makes me sick. Hash tagging on Twitter is beginning to fade out at the moment so unless your tag is in the top three trends, don't use it.

SPELLING
Spelling and grammar MUST be of an exemplary standard for you to be granted access to some social networking sites. You will often be corrected if an apostrophe sits in the wrong place or you use an incorrect term so save yourself now and read a dictionary and thesaurus before joining the Internet.

So they are just a few Internet sins in existence today. Follow my wise guidance and your Internet life will become your only life.

Thank you for taking the time out of your obviously busy schedule to read this post of useless information. Please share this and Google + me. Social networking links can be found in a previous post.

30 Facts About Me

So my friend and fellow blogger stylishengland.blogspot.com recently wrote a blog listing 50 facts about himself. I thought this would be a good idea and seeing as I've already done a vlog '20 Facts About Me' this blog will contain some new ones and some ones from my video. You'll notice this is entitled 30 facts about me because I'm really not that interesting!

1) Only my close family know my middle name. I really dislike it to the point where I've never told any of my friends.

2) I'm allergic to a lot. I have a nut allergy, I have hayfever and I'm allergic to some medications.

3) I hate open water. I'm not a good swimmer so being in the middle of the sea is pretty scary.

4) I've been abroad four times. Lanzarote, Spain, Ibiza and Berlin.

5) I don't have best friends. I prefer to just have a group of friends rather than categorise people.

6) I make YouTube videos. You probably already knew this but I'm a mini blogger on YouTube. ( www.youtube.com/joshwavlogsofficial )

7) I have an Internet addiction. Lots of people say they are addicted to the Internet but I literally am!

8) The smell of cooked apples makes me gag. Yes, I know. That's quite strange but it's true. I'm literally the only person in my family that hates apple pie.

9) I tried to give up McDonalds as a New Years resolution but gave up in June. I still think I did quite well.

10) I try to be as honest as I can even if it offends people. This seems quite harsh but it's better than lying to people.

11) I'm really bad at lying. I just burst out laughing uncontrollably and look stupid. My friends can tell when I'm lying straight away.

12) I'm atheist. I'm more of a science geek and believe in all that waffle rather than religion.

13) I love TV quiz shows. This is really cheesy but I do. I like to think I could win them but I always lose.

14) For my GCSE options I took; German ( even though I'm really bad at it!), History (it's a lot of writing but it's really interesting), Media ( I'm creative but not good at art so I find this useful) and Psychology ( it can sometimes be boring but it's also interesting).

15) I don't tan. It's a rare occasion if I do. I normally just evolve into a tomato.

16) I regularly insult my friends. This isn't because I hate everyone, if I insult you, I feel comfortable around you.

17) I can count to ten in four different languages. English, German, French and Spanish.

18) I hate exercise. PE is like my worst nightmare because I have the physical movement ability of a Sloth.

19) My music taste is so varied. I love bands like Paramore, You Me At Six and 30STM. But I also love No Doubt, Cover Drive and Calvin Harris.

20) I'd love to travel the world some day. It would be amazing to see the different cultures across the world.

21) I have no plans to go to university. People say that I could but I just think it's a waste of money. I'd rather get a job and work my life from there.

22) I'd love to go on The Apprentice. I watch the show every year and I'd love to be able to take part.

23) My social life is virtually non existent. I got Twitter and now I only converse with people if I have to.

24) I'm annoying. I'll happily admit that I'm quite annoying.

25) I'm paranoid and get anxiety. I literally worry about everything. I'm not as bad anymore but about a year ago I was terrible.

26) I've never had a detention. Now that I've said that I'll probably get one.

27) The thought of dying used to scare me because no one knows what happens next.

28) I'm addicted to chocolate but I'm trying to cut down. It's not working.

29) I like shopping... If its shopping for me.

30) I seem like an arse but I'm actually a nice person. Saying that makes me sound like an arse again.

So there you go. 30 facts about me. I hope you've enjoyed reading those random pieces of information. I'm trying to vlog and blog more regularly now so keep an eye out for updates on here and subscribe to my YouTube www.youtube.com/joshwavlogsofficial

BERLIN 2013

Guten Abends! I've just spent four days in Berlin, Germany and experienced some amazing and life changing things.

Berlin was once divided and into east (communist) and west (democratic). Today it is reunified and is capitalist. I stayed in the old east near an iconic tower called the Fernsehturm (TV Tower)
You can see from the picture that there were no clouds in the sky. The weather was beautiful and stayed between about 27-37 degrees the whole time we were there.

There are so many architecturally amazing buildings in Berlin that make it such a fascinating city.
Above is the Brandenburg Tor (Brandenburg Gate). I love sightseeing and this was an amazing photo opportunity for me. The history of the city is so interesting and every structure plays a part of the story.

The Berlin Wall is a truly fascinating part of Berlin. The art and graffiti that decorate the wall today is so intricate and again tells the story of the wall.

This was a school trip which meant that I got to go with some of my friends. It was a great experience that enabled us to be independent and have fun.
Above left to right; Rob, Soph, Niki & Me stood on top of the Reichstag.

There will be a vlog coming soon to YouTube of what we did, more pictures and a few clips. I haven't made a video in a while but this will be kicking off a new summer series of JoshwaVlogs so go to www.youtube.com/joshwavlogsofficial to subscribe.

If you ever have the opportunity to go to Berlin or anywhere in the world, do it. I was really worried about going and wanted to back out several times but it has been one of the best experiences of my life and I have a tan for once!

Thank you for reading and don't forget to go to my channel and subscribe ready for the release of my new video.

Berlin ist schön und sehr interessant! Ich liebe Berlin!

Full Stop Bullying Part Three

Earlier this evening, a British news programme raised the issue of depression and self harm in teens. For the first time in a long time, I finally feel like the problem has been effectively addressed. You may not agree but I think that if big news corporations spoke openly about the subject, many people lives would change for the better.

There is already so much support out there for teens suffering from depression but the news has directed my attention to a new organisation called When the lights turned down, they dont know what they heard
Strike the match, play it loud, giving love to the worldthat gives advice and support specifically to people between the ages of 11-17.

Whether it's from bullying or pressure, you shouldn't feel sad or upset. There are so many people out there going through exactly the same thing as you! You are never alone.

Someone is always there for you. Whether you just want to speak, relax or vent your problems, there will always be someone there to help. You can easily seek this help anonymously on the Internet or through various helplines.

Even ordinary people want to help. I'm a normal teen that really wants to help anyone feeling depressed, anxious or suicidal.
