Quick 2014 Update

I haven't been blogging/vlogging very much recently because I'm surprisingly busy but I'm hoping that 2014 can be a fresh start. I wanted to kick off the year by improving my blog and YouTube Channel and I'm almost finished. All that's left is the content!

My old blog design was terrible. It was really impractical and didn't fit my blog type so when my blogger friend asked if he could re-design my page I couldn't resist. I only gave a few preferences on what I wanted and let him design the rest. The final result is what you see around this site now and I love it! Now I've had this done I will definitely be blogging a lot more and hopefully entice new readers to the page.

My YouTube Channel has strangely gained more popularity when I haven't been promoting but I'm still quite pleased. I recently designed brand new channel art which I uploaded earlier this evening and considering I'm quite bad at being creative, I think it works quite well.

As well as restarting my Blog and Channel this year I'm really excited to announce that I'm going to Summer In The City 2014 in London. Last year was seriously amazing so I can't wait until August! If any of you are going come say hi if you see me!:)

So this is just a quick update and I'll post more content and information very soon!

I really hope you like my new designs on both sites, I'd love to hear your feedback so please leave a comment below or visit my 'contact' tab. Also, I don't have a clue how to use this Google + shit but if you have it, follow/add me!

30STM & YMAS

After a long wait, last night me and two friends got to see the massive American band Thirty Seconds To Mars and the 'bon bloody brilliant' British band, You Me At Six at the newly branded Phones 4 U Arena in Manchester, UK.

           Sophia, Kayleigh and me

I've been a big fan of both of these bands for a few years now and loads of people had told me how amazing they are in concert and I knew I had to see them. (After all YMAS got me an A* in a media project!)

When I found out that they were doing a tour together, we got tickets straight away and I've been excited for the gig for quite a few months. The concert was rescheduled which meant that we had to wait another week but it was definitely worth it!

After driving around Manchester trying to find a parking space for a while, we decided to just take a cold walk through the city and stumbled upon the Christmas market.

We only walked through but it all looked amazing!

We finally made it to the arena and despite how my pictures look, we actually had a good view and we're relatively close for seating.

You Me At Six came on stage and me and my friends weren't afraid to get up and sing the lyrics. They sung all of my favourite songs from Lived A Lie, Underdog and Reckless. They got mosh pits going and people crowd surfing!
During their song, Crash, they asked for phone lights to be turned on and suddenly a sea of bright lights flooded the arena.

The crowd during You Me At Six's, Crash.

You Me At Six finished their set and it was time for Thirty Seconds To Mars.

They really put on a show, from the lighting to the confetti and the balloons and of course, the music!

Confetti balloons : Thirty Seconds To Mars

They performed all of the best songs including City Of Angels, Hurricane & Closer To The Edge. Jared even performed some acoustic songs and took requests from the rowdy audience. The arena was full of waving arms, mosh pits, crowd surfers, balloons and the iconic 30STM triad symbol. It was amazing to see so many other fans all brought together.

If you aren't already aware, Jared honestly resembles Jesus right now but he's the sort of Jesus that runs a massive music cult.

Overall the night was literally amazing and I wanted to stay forever! Both bands were sooo good and I'm glad I got to see them both in the same place!

The lights during the show were crazy!

Thank you for reading, you can follow my social networking sites for regular updates and pictures from me!
Don't forget to show your grandparents, they'll love it; they probably won't know what I'm talking about, but they'll love it!
Back soon!

Manchester Trip

On Wednesday me and three friends went to Manchester on the train. We go quite regularly and kind of repeat what we do every time we go.

We arrived at Manchester Piccadilly and walked down the Main Street until we reached Primark. I have to be honest and say that Primark is my shopping nightmare. It's always extremely busy, really hot and there's screwed up, dusty clothes everywhere. However I have bought at least 5 things from there in my lifetime.

We decided to lighten the mood with a trip to Starbucks. Wednesday the 28th of August 2013 was the day I lost my Starbucks virginity and enjoyed it. That sounds so raunchy and sexual when I'm just obsessing over a coffee. In true 'white gurl' style, I took picture of my drink and uploaded it to Instagram. You can tell I'm going no where in life... except to Starbucks.
If you, like me hate coffee and have never been to Starbucks, I highly recommend their Mocha Cookie Crumble.

We then went into the Arndale Centre and had a nosy in loads of shops! So far the trip had been unsuccessful but them we stumbled upon a shop that sold...colourful stationary!

As boring as it sounds, me and my friends are instantly drawn in to anything bright. The shop was literally the best stationary shop in existence! It had erasers that looked like Pandas and Burgers. Everyone loves non racist animals and food right! The shop had drawing pads around the floor so you could try out different pens so I obviously abused this privilege and used the facility to do a bit of advertising for my blog, YouTube Channel (www.youtube.com/joshwavlogsofficial) and my Twitter.
I didn't think anyone would actually read them but when I got home, someone had followed me on Twitter and messaged me a picture of my username on the drawing pad in the shop!

We then took a detour to Afflecks Palace, which if you don't know, is a three story building in Manchester filled with small businesses selling everything from band merch to American candy. It was way too hot in there after we had crawled up the never ending stairs!

Then it was time for dinner. We obviously dine like royalty when we go out so a trip to McDonalds it was. Hash tag should have gone to Nandos.

The real disaster of the day was catching the train back. We got to the station in time for our departure, but ended up waiting for the wrong train while our train was pulling out of the station! We then had to wait an hour for the next one to come.

After watching a pigeon hobble trough the station and a woman shouting and swearing on the phone, we managed to successfully locate out train. Yay.

But not yay because there were no available seats, which meant that we had to stand near the doors. This was actually ok though because we got to be as loud as we wanted. We even started clicking, applauding and singing for people passing through the train. (This won't be anything like what you're imagining).

I hope you've enjoyed finding out some of the things we got up to in Manchester on Wednesday. I was going to vlog the day but I didn't think Primark and McDonalds were worthy enough.

I love your eyes when they read my posts so come back when I can be bothered to write a new one! Bye:D

Please leave a comment. I love all types of feedback.

Miley Cyrus at the VMAs 2013

The VMAs were held over in America the other night. Crowds drew outside as celebrities arrived in their tens. One of which was America's sweetheart, Miley Cyrus.

Cyrus is best know for playing the lead role in children's television series 'Hannah Montana' aired on the Disney Channel. Once she got too old for the role, the series was axed and she focused her career on music. She brought out a succession of songs that were relatively spaced out including 'The Climb' and ironically a song called 'Can't Be Tamed'. I think Miley was predicting her future when she was singing this one!

So like all good Disney actresses, she launched herself into the music scene and was quickly embraced by fans and pop lovers.

In the last year or so, Miley has had a big change to her looks. She shaved off most of her hair and grew a 'Jedward' style quiff that didn't look too bad.

Jedward top, Cyrus below. These guys could be triplets! We need Jeremy Kyle out here right now!

She then released her latest single 'We Can't Stop' which created mixed feedback from critics but I think most people warmed to the catchy, raunchy chart topper. The song peaked at number one in America, the UK and was a top ten hit several other countries.

What could possibly go wrong?

Turning up at the 2013 VMAs was where she first went wrong! We'd just grown to love her short locks as they were but she went and chopped a bit more off and made the remaining strands into what I can only describe as blonde horns, possibly symbolising one of two things:

1) The devil
2) Dat bitch is horny

The crowds and guests had just managed to cope with this change and were looking forward to her performance.

Then it all went wrong again.

If Miley wanted attention, she definitely go it with her 'sexually explicit' performance of 'We Can't Stop'. I'm going to try my best to describe what she was doing without making you violently vomit.

Disclaimer - JVTV will not be held responsible if your breakfast repeats on you.

Firstly, she climbed out of a giant teddy bear. I mean really?! What the hell Miley?

Then a bunch of people come over and rip off her clothes, leaving her in her pale bra and pants!

She then starts slapping someone's booty. Like if she did that to me, I'd pepper spray the bitch.

It only gets worse from here. She manages to pluck a foam finger from god knows where and begins to violently hump it and rub it up and down her nunny! Obviously having boy troubles but I don't see what she gets out of a finger m... Oh right, I get it you dirty mare!

So just a quick summary so far. Miley Cyrus is twerking furiously around the stage in her bra and knickers, slapping some ass cheeks and dry humping a finger made from foam.

As if this wasn't enough, Robin Thicke, joins her on stage as they 'sing' 'Blurred Lines'. This is where we encounter some horrific imagery that needs to be outed.

So the image on the right shows Robin trying to concentrate on singing while Miley twerks and thrusts up against his genitalia.

The behaviour from Cyrus shocked many celebrities in the audience. The camera regularly panned across to the looks of disgust from the family of Hollywood actor Will Smith and the slightly embarrassed faces of British boy band One Direction.

Miley has been the talk of Twitter over the past 24 hours so if you want more goss, just get onto the top trends or head over to YouTube to watch the shocking performance.

Other VMA News

Lady Gaga has just released her new single 'Applause' which she performed at the VMAs. Her performance was great and she sported many of her different looks over the years in one song.

I like to call this, the 'Just Dance or I'll Poke ya Face' look.

Gaga may have ended her performance wearing next to nothing, but the Cyrus bikini had more of a psychological impact on the audience.

It was also reported that when One Direction were announced to perform, they received some boos from the crowds. This sparked Gaga to supposedly turn to her friend and say "Why are they booing them?" "I'm leaving" as she got up and walked away from her seat. She probably just needed the toilet!

So there's your little round up of VMA information and your time line of shocking Cyrus events.

Advice with Joshwa

I believe that everything happens for a reason. Nothing is unprovoked. I'm kind of fed up of seeing tweets and posts from people thinking that everyone hates them and that their life is crap when they have amazing, supportive families and are treated like royalty. These people just aren't opening their eyes wide enough to see all of this help. Yes we all have our bad days but it really depends on your outlook on life.

I believe that if you think positively, more positive things will happen.
This isn't so much of a belief. I learn psychology at school and have come round to the fact that your thoughts have so much influence on the way you view your life. If you smile more often and are friendly to people, people will return the favour and it makes you feel good about yourself!

One thing will always lead to another. Sometimes the good things in life will fall apart and leave you broken but that's only to make space for something bigger and better. Don't think that you have nothing to live for just because something goes wrong. Shit happens all the time, you just have to learn to be patient and wait for the good things to fall together.

You might have that best friend that you're rapidly drifting away from but that's only to help you learn how to let go. No one's here forever, we just have to learn how to say goodbye.

Things go wrong so you appreciate them when they're right. Make the most of the good stuff because you never know how long it's going to last. For example, the free wifi at a hotel I was staying at, it was amazing until I realised it stopped after half an hour! Just remember, even when everything seems like a mess, it's not a mess forever, just make sure you cherish the good so that the bad doesn't seem too bad!

You believe lies so eventually you learn to trust no one but yourself. This is quite sad but true. People are arseholes sometimes and it's hard to know who to trust. I literally trust my family and a small group of friends. It's easy to fall into a web of lies but we learn from our mistakes and get back up. When you've experienced this from one person, you find out so much more about them and yourself. Then you also know not to trust them.

Not many people understand how you feel, but there's a hell of a lot of people who do. You're never on your own in any situation. There's always someone out there feeling the same as you and having the same thoughts.

Life is full of small lessons to help you get through your time, you just have to open your mind a bit more.

I really hope this post has changed the way some people think. Just be more positive and see the good in things and the sun will shine brighter than ever.  Sorry, this isn't my usual comedic type of post, I try to help people as well as make people laugh.

I hope you've enjoyed reading this post. You can contact / follow me on any of the social networks in my 'Social Sites' tab. Don't forget to leave a comment!

British Stereotypes

I've lived in Britain all my life and would like to clear a few things up about some of the British stereotypes flying around the world right now. I've Googled 'British Stereotypes' and am basing this post on my search results. I was so shocked at some of the things I read, I spat out my tea and dropped my crumpet on my Corgi! Sit back, grab a cuppa and a biscuit and enjoy reading this useless information!

- "All British people drink tea"

This statement is so true. You're not technically allowed into the country for more than six weeks if you don't agree to drink at least four cups of tea a day and you can't substitute them for coffee! We don't just drink tea, we use it for everything, brushing our teeth, watering plants, washing the car etc. This is also where I start to wonder about my nationality because I literally can't stand tea. I thought I was British but I'm evidently not.

- "All British people know the Queen"

This is also very true. Everyone takes it in turns to go chill with her at her crib in London for a day. I go quite regularly because we're such good mates. See she's actually really 'swaggie'. I shouldn't say this but she tells me everything and she has like a secret second life. In the picture above, she's wearing Kim Kardashian's D&G sun glasses! Everyone also thinks that she does nothing which is such an understatement. She goes out every Friday and Saturday to clubs around London to lay down some beats. She goes by the stage name MC Liz and her slogan is "MC Liz in the Hiz". Ooops I've said too much!

- All British people have posh accents

This is so not true. We have lots of different areas in Britain and the accent changes so much. There is a part of London where a select few, speak with a good level of elocution but other than that we mainly consist of a 'chav' population, who are statistically 107% more likely to be grammatically incorrect.

- "All British people have Bulldogs and Corgis"

This is again true. These are the only two breeds of dog that we can have in the UK. If you are lucky enough to own a dog, you have to dress it in red, white and blue clothing in the winter and a Union Jack mini skirt in the summer regardless of the dogs gender. We have a large gay dog community here that enjoy cross dressing!

Now I'm just going to refer to some stereotypes that I know exists about Britain.

- British people say "Cheerio" instead of saying "Bye"

I think this is a British thing but it's meaning has evolved over time. If you said "Cheerio" to someone 50 years ago they would say it back, now if you said it, you would be pelted with cereals that look like anorexic doughnuts.

So there you have it! A few common stereotypes about us Brits cleared up for you.

DISCLAIMER - This is obviously a piss take, we like tea but not to that extent, we don't actually all know the Queen and she's not an MC. There are more than two breeds of dog available here and it isn't compulsory to dress them in any kind of clothing. A 'Cheerio' is a brand of cereal over here but you won't get them thrown at you. We're too stingy to waste good food. However, the accent point is basically true!

I love getting your feedback and kind comments so post them below and I'll definitely get back to you very soon.

Thank you for reading, I'll see you here and on my channel, very sooooooon!

SITC 2013

Summer in the City is a gathering / meet up where fans can meet their favourite YouTubers and can enjoy live entertainment such as film making panels and musicians.

Most of the big names of YouTube attended this years event hosted at London's Alexander Palace such as Jack & Finn, Alfie Deyes, Marcus Butler, Caspar Lee, Tyler Oakley, Zoella and so many more!

In total there were 7000 attendees which was quite scary at times. I really don't like crowds of people so being trapped in queues for hours on end was slightly intimidating but it was well worth it to meet some of my favourite YouTubers.

We arrived at the venue early on Saturday and as soon as we walked through the door we bumped in the amazing giant that is Jim Chapman and got to take a few selfies with him!

He was so polite and genuine to everyone he met.

Once we had bumped into one YouTuber, we saw a few more across the room including the guy with cray cray hair, Benjamin Cook and one half of Jack and Dean, Jack Howard!

We really wanted to meet Dan and Phil but their queue was cut off by security because it was so long! We decided to abandon that idea and went to the main stage to watch some live acts that included:
- Tom Law
- The Vamps
- Anavae
- Tessa Violet
- Musical Bethan
- Emma Blackery
- Hank Green
- Lancifer
& quite a few more that I'm struggling to remember the names of!

On Sunday we arrived bright and early again and battled around London Underground to get to the venue for day two.

We got in really quickly on Sunday which was quite surprising. Once I got inside I went to the Alfie and Marcus meet and greet queue. I literally queued for an hour and a half but it was so worth it to meet two of the nicest people on YouTube! I walked up to them and they both put their arms out to hug me and I didn't know what to do and then I heard Marcus say " Let's just go three-way"  so I ended up in a Malfie sandwich!

They even filmed a short promo video for my channel which you can watch at www.youtube.com/joshwavlogsofficial (it's the last video I uploaded and it's at the end)

I was literally buzzing after meeting them, it was so surreal!

We really wanted to meet the fabulous Tyler Oakley but his queue was huge and was also cut off but I managed to film a great interview with him which you can find on my YouTube Channel.

I don't quite know how this next bit happened... One minute we were chilling on the floor and the next, we were in a crowd of people raving and dancing to Lancifer on the main stage!

We were in the crowd for quite a while, and it just got too claustrophobic for me so I went to sit down on my tod! This turned out to be a very good decision because I then bumped into Joe Sugg (ThatcherJoe) and got a quick selfie!

I have uploaded two brand new videos on my YouTube Channel that feature:
- INTERVIEW WITH TYLER OAKLEY
- YOUTUBER Q&A WITH TROYE SIVAN, TYLER OAKLEY, LUKE CUTFORTH, MARCUS BUTLER AND CASPAR LEE.
- CHANNEL PROMO FROM ME, ALFIE DEYES AND MARCUS BUTLER.
- MUSIC FROM LANCIFER.
AND EMBARRASSING DANCING FROM ME AND MY FRIENDS!

I had an amazing time at Summer in the City this year and will definitely be going next year! I'd really like to thank the organisers of the event for doing such a good job. Just make it longer next time!

Comment below if you also went to SitC this year or if you would like go next year.
